Moodle: LSU Overview
Semester Start-up for Moodle: Moodle Basics & Frequently Asked Questions
Moodle is the Learning Management System (LMS) used by LSU. The Moodle site contains instructional courses, training modules, departmental pages, and many other things used every day by LSU faculty, staff, and students. Getting started in a new LMS can be intimidating, so here are some useful links to other GROK articles to help you on your way.
Getting Started for Faculty
The following GROK articles provide basic instructions for adding materials and activities to a course, adding more users to the participants list, building a gradebook, and more. Each article contains links to additional relevant information.
PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to save any content from courses that are older than 18 months, you have several options. One option is to download and save the content to your own computer. The second option is to import the content into a blueprint course in Moodle. Instructors can use a single blueprint course to create and store content for a course to be taught in a future semester. Students are never enrolled in blueprint courses. For instructions on how to request a blueprint course, please see GROK 20175: Request a Blueprint Course.
