Moodle: Overview: Multimedia Tools
LSU has a variety of multimedia resources for instructors and students. Multimedia is a combination of text, images, audio, and/or video.
- GROK: Zoom Overview: Use Zoom to host live synchronous meetings with a class, group of peers, etc.
- GROK: Panopto Overview: Classrooms maintained through ITS will have Panopto installed on the podium computers, but instructors can also download the application. Use Panopto to record lectures with audio, video, and screen. The video recordings can be added to a Moodle course.
- GROK: VoiceThread Overview: For use in online or blended courses, VoiceThread is a collaborative tool that allows users to add images, documents, and videos to a presentation. Viewers can add to a discussion via text, recording audio, or using their webcam. Check out VoiceThread's free Workshops. They have numerous topics and archived recordings.
Also see the Digital Media Quick Reference Guide for a detailed comparison of these resources.
