Configure the Automatic Save Interval

Adobe Reader will, by default, automatically save document changes to a temporary file every five minutes. To change this time interval, follow these steps:

1. At the top of the screen, click Edit and select Preferences.

2. When the Preferences window appears, choose the category named Documents.

3. In the right section of the window, there will be a section labeled "Save Settings."  Make sure the box next to Automatically save document changes to temporary file every (blank) minutes has a check in it. The save interval can be changed to any number between one and ninety-nine.
