How to Access Kaltura: My Media

1. Login to Moodle and select your course.

2. Click Course Tools.

3. Click the My Media button.

Adding Videos to My Media and Kaltura Capture Application

1. Now that you are on the My Media page, click the Add New button.

2. The selections available in the Add New drop down menu that will appear may vary, however most users will have Kaltura Capture (to download/open Kaltura Capture software) and Media Upload (if you'd like to upload existing media to My Media). More information on Kaltura Capture available at the following link -- Kaltura Capture.

3. If you select Kaltura Capture you will begin downloading the Kaltura Capture application or, if you've already downloaded and installed Capture, the Capture application will open on your computer.

 

Publishing or Deleting My Media

The videos in My Media are only visible to you. If you'd like to make them available to your course participants, see the instructions below.

1. Click the small checkbox next to any video you'd like to publish or delete.

Note: The small box to the lower right hand side of your video will indicate whether your video has been published to a course already or if it is private. The video in this example has already been published to a course.

2. On the My Media page, click the ACTIONS button to open a short drop down menu.

3. Select if you'd like to Publish or Delete.

4. If Publishing, you will see a list of courses to which you may publish your selected media.

5. Select the course you'd like to publish your media to then click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
