SNAP: Blocks: Comments Block


The Comments Block allows users to add related information to the course. Instructors can delete any comment added by a student.

To Turn this Block ON:

*NOTE: You will need to do these steps if you do not see the Comments block on your Moodle page.

1. Log in to Moodle and click on the course.

2. Look below the left menu and click on Course Tools.

3. Click on the Edit blocks button on the Course Tools page.

4. Select Comment in the Add a Block drop-down box.

5. Once added, a user can enter their comment and then click on the Save comment link at the bottom right. If needed, the student (or instructor) can later delete the comment by clicking on the Delete (x) button to the top right of the comment.

6. You must click on Stop Editing at the top of the course before attempting to return to your main course page.

To Delete the Comments Block:

1. Log in to Moodle and click on the course.

2. Look below the left menu and click on Course Tools.

3. Click on the Edit blocks button on the Course Tools page.

4. Locate the Comments block and click the Actions (gear shaped icon) button. Select Delete Comments block from the drop-down menu.

6. You must click on Stop Editing at the top of the course before attempting to return to your main course page.
