Adobe Reader DC for Mac: Configure the Automatic Save Interval

How to Configure the Automatic Save Interval

Adobe Reader will, by default, automatically save document changes to a temporary file every five minutes. To change this time interval, follow these steps:

1. Click Acrobat Reader | Preferences.

Acrobat Reader Preferences

2. When the Preferences window appears, choose the category named Documents.

3. In the right section of the window, there will be a section labeled "Save Settings."  Make sure the box next to Automatically save document changes to temporary file every (blank) minutes has a check in it. The save interval can be changed to any number between one and ninety-nine.
