General Information

Topic Summary is a short text to prepare students for the activities within this topic or week.  The Edit Topic button allows the instructor to edit a specific topic or week.

Edit a Specific Topic or Week

1. Log in to Moodle and select the course.

2. Click the Edit button at the top right corner of the page.

3. Click the Edit link, located in the top right corner of the topic's section. In the dropdown menu that appears, click Edit topic.

4. This will launch the Moodle Text Editor.

5. UNCHECK the box next to Use default section name in order to edit the Section Name.

6. Add or update the Summary of the activity, set Restrictions if necessary, then click Save changesThe summary will then be visible to the instructor and any group members that have been granted access to the page.
