myLSU Portal: Signing Up for a Meal Plan through myLSU

If you are using a mobile device to access the myLSU portal, you may need to rotate your phone to landscape mode to access the menu.
How Can I Sign Up for an LSU Dining Meal Plan?
You may sign up for a Meal Plan through your myLSU account after you are registered for classes. If you sign up before mid-July, it will automatically be added to your Fee Bill.
If you are a first or second-year student living on-campus, and you do not choose a Meal Plan, you are automatically assigned the Tiger 12 Meal Plan. First-year students living in East Campus Apartments, West Campus Apartments and Nicholson Gateway Apartments are required to have a resident meal plan. The following students are not required to have a meal plan:
- Second Year students living in East Campus Apartments, West Campus Apartments, or Nicholson Gateway Apartments
- Transfer students with 30-60 hours living in East Campus, West Campus or Nicholson Gateway Apartments
You may sign up for a Meal Plan anytime on through the myLSU Portal; students or employees not required to be on a meal plan may wish to choose a Commuter or Faculty/Staff Meal Plan that fits their lifestyle.
You have until the 14th class day to make changes to your Meal Plan at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters.

To Sign Up for a Meal Plan:
- Log In to myLSU.
- In the Search box, type "Housing" and then select the On-Campus Housing link. You may also go to the StarRez LSU Housing Portal site directly. Upon login, you will be directed to the LSU Housing Portal homepage.
- Once logged into LSU Housing Portal, click on the first tab at the left called Commuter Meal Plan Selection and Residential Meal Plan Changes.
- At the bottom of the page, use the drop-down menu to select Commuter Meal Plan Selection. After making your selection, click Save & Continue to proceed.
- Click Select Meal Plan to continue the process.
- Review your Name and LSU Student ID on the Personal Information page to ensure accuracy. Once verified, enter your LSU Student ID in the white text box at the bottom of the page. Click Save & Continue to proceed.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the drop-down menu. From the drop-down menu, select your preferred meal plan. Once selected, click Save & Continue to proceed.
- To finalize your selection, click Confirm Your Meal Plan to proceed to the next step.
- Your Commuter Meal Plan Selection will be confirmed. To return to the LSU Housing Portal homepage, select Click To Go To Home Page.
- To view your current meal plan selection, please select the My Details tab in the LSU Housing Portal. The My Details page can be accessed by clicking the three-line (hamburger) menu icon on the left side of the tab section.
- Please note meal plan selections do not reflect on the My Details tab until 24 hours after the selection has been made. The selected meal plan will be displayed on the Current Meal Plan line.
- You will receive an email confirmation reflecting the meal plan selection. If you have any questions or concerns in regards to meal plans, please email tigercard@lsu.edu.
To Modify Your Meal Plan:
- Once logged into LSU Housing Portal, click on the first tab at the left called Commuter Meal Plan Selection and Residential Meal Plan Changes.
- At the bottom of the page, use the drop-down menu to select Commuter Meal Plan Selection.
- After making your selection, click Save & Continue to proceed.
- Click Select Meal Plan to continue the process.
- Use the drop-down menu located at the bottom of the page to select your new meal plan. Once you’ve made your selection, click Confirm Change to apply the update.
- To finalize your selection, click Confirm Your Meal Plan to proceed.
- Your Commuter Meal Plan Selection will be confirmed and updated. To return to the LSU Housing Portal homepage, select Click to go to home page.
- To view your current meal plan selection, please select the My Details tab in the LSU Housing Portal. The My Details page can be accessed by clicking the three-line (hamburger) menu icon on the left side of the tab section.
- Please note meal plan selections do not reflect on the My Details tab until 24 hours after the selection has been made. The selected meal plan will be displayed on the Current Meal Plan line.
- You will receive an email confirmation reflecting the meal plan selection. If you have any questions or concerns in regards to meal plans, please email tigercard@lsu.edu.
NOTE: First and Second-year students who are living on-campus: You must sign up for an LSU Dining Meal Plan. If you fail to do so, you will automatically be assigned the Tiger 12 Meal Plan. This does not include second-year (or transfer) students living in East/West Campus or Nicholson Apartments.
