OPUS: LSU Overview
General Information
OPUS is a software that can be used to analyze and view infrared spectra collected on the LSU Chemistry Department’s Bruker Tensor 27 or Alpha FT-IR instruments.
Pre-Installation Notes
System Requirements: Windows (Windows 7 & Windows 8 Recommended.)
Download & Installation Instructions
1. Download the Opus_7.2.exe file from the download section on TigerWare.
2. Right-click on the file and choose to 'Run as Administrator'.
3. You will be asked if you want to search for an Alpha Instrument, check 'Skip this step' and then click 'Next'.
4. When choosing the installation type, DO NOT include instrument control functions, ONLY the data analysis & processing capabilities.
5. You will have to log into OPUS & Register in order to access the datasets. Instructions for this are available in the download section.
