Careers2Geaux: Uploading a Cover Letter


Cover Letters often serve as an introductory page to prospective employers. A good Cover Letter will outline the candidate's skills and abilities while describing how the candidate will help benefit the company. Additionally, cover letters typically lead into the resume and are the first thing employers use to evaluate a candidate. This article will teach LSU students how to upload a Cover Letter onto Careers2Geaux, LSU's job search website.

To Upload A New Cover Letter:

1. Log in to myLSU with your LSU PAWS account. On the left-hand side of the screen click Student Services, then click Careers2Geaux.

2. The Careers2Geaux web site will open in a new tab. Type in your User Name and Password, then click Go.

3. Once you have logged into your Careers2Geaux Account, click on the Documents section on the sidebar, click Approved, and select Add New.

4. Label the document, choose the Cover Letter option, and select Choose File to find the file on your computer that contains your cover letter.

5. Finally, users will see their cover letter in the Cover Letters category, verifying that the document was uploaded successfully. Users can View, Download, Update, or Remove their Cover Letter through the Cover Letters category.
