Moodle 3: Activities & Resources: Add a BigBlueButton Teleconference

BigBlueButton is a Moodle-based teleconferencing feature.  This activity enables students and instructors to share their screen, web cam image, audio and text-based chat. See the BigBlueButton: LSU Overview for more information about this tool.

To add the BigBlueButton Activity:

1. Login to Moodle and select the course.

2. Click the Turn Editing on button at the top right corner of the page.

3. Click the Add an Activity or resource.  You can also choose an activity by using the Activity Chooser.

*PLEASE NOTE: There are two different ways to complete the next step depending on which view you are in. If you see two separate drop-down boxes, click Add an activity and select  Big Blue Button. For more information, about this option, view Activity Chooser Options.


4. Select Big Blue Button & click Add.



5.  Assign a Name. Personalize the BigBlueButton activity in the BigBlueButton Activity Settings.

6.  When finished, click Save and Return to Course at the bottom.
