Before upgrading to Windows 7, we suggest that you download, install, and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. You can get it from the Microsoft Website.

To Download the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor:

1. Click Download the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor on the Microsoft Web site.
2. Click Save File.

Select save to begin download

3. Double-click the file to open it.

4. Select Run.

Choose to run the program to begin installation

5. Click Next to continue the setup.

6. Read the license terms and check the box to accept them. Click Next.

7. Select the folder in which you would like to install the advisor, and click Install.

8. Once the installation is complete, you will be notified. Click Close.

Once the installation is complete, click the close button

9. Double-click the icon for the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor program. Other Related Articles:

10. Click Start Check.

11. You will now be informed of the programs that are compatible or incompatible with Windows 7 that you might have to alter or re-install once you upgrade to Windows 7.
