General Information

The ITS Help Desk is the primary customer interface for information, access and assistance related to the services provided by our organization. LSU's Help Desk is committed to offering an exceptional support experience for the campus community and is ready to assist faculty, staff and students with any ITS related need with services that range from account operations to in-depth technical support. The Help Desk can be contacted through various distinct avenues.


Eligibility & Order Procedures

Available To:             LSU Faculty, Students,Staff, Prospective Students, Alumni and Affiliates.

Request Service:     Submit a request to the Help Desk  OR  e-mail your request to helpdesk@lsu.edu.

Delivery Time:          1-6 business days.
 

Remote Desktop Support

ITS Help Desk Remote Online Assistance is a program provided by Information Technology Services (ITS) that allows a user to directly connect to a member of their support team to solve technical problems. It is called a "remote" program because support members, only with permission of that particular user, can remotely view their desktop and share joint control of their keyboard and mouse while guiding them through the solution.

Note: This only works through a working Internet connection.

*users can still report emergencies and outages 24 X 7.  This number rings to the Network Operations Center (NOC) when the Help Desk is not open.

Fall/Spring Semester Hours:
Monday – Thurs: 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Sunday: noon – 11:30 p.m.

*** Closed on All LSU Home Games.

Summer Hours:
Monday – Fri: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Sunday: noon – 10:00 p.m.

Break Hours:
Monday – Fri: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED

For Frey Computing Services Center:

Monday - Friday: 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
