Welcome to LSU TigerMail! Louisiana State University has partnered with Google Mail Services to provide a new and enhanced e-mail system called TigerMail. TigerMail is a free e-mail service that is based on the Google.com search engine. It includes 7GB of storage space (and growing), comes with an automatic archiving tools, keeps your messages stored as conversations, and provides a way for your e-mail to be access through the user's mobile phone.
Also, The Google Apps for Education partnership enables the collaborative student use of Gmail, Calendaring, Instant Messaging, Google Sites, and Google Docs, Spreadsheets, and Presentations for increased e-mail storage, improved service quality with calendaring, instant messaging, and documents, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
The first thing you have to do in order to set up your TigerMail account is register a password: TigerMail: TigerMail: Register a Password

NOTE: E-mail messages sent to your email@example.com address from senders other than yourself still forward to your TigerMail account. However, this process does not work when sending e-mail addresses from your TigerMail account TO your TigerMail account.
