Microsoft Excel 2007: Reapply or Clear a Filter

When working with filters in Excel 2007 over long periods of time, it may become necessary to reapply criteria or clear the filtering command altogether.

To reapply a filter or sort, follow the instructions below:

1. Make sure the active workbook contains Sort or Filter data.
2. Click the Home tab.
3. Click Sort & Filter in the Editing group.
4. Click Reapply.

To clear a filter, follow the instructions below:

1. In a filtered range, click the Filter button Applied filter icon.
2. Click Clear Filter from <Column Name>.

To clear all filter data from the workbook:

2. Activate the Home tab.
3. Click Sort & Filter in the Editing group.
4. Click Clear.
