  Add to Favorites     Share/Save/Bookmark

Mac OS X Snow Leopard was designed to make your Mac work better than ever before. Snow Leopard comes loaded with new features that will make your Mac even easier to use.

Finder, Exposé, and Stacks

Finder has been totally rewritten to benefit from 64-bit Technology and Grand Central Dispatch. Finder will run faster and it includes new features like customizable search options and an improved icon view. Exposé and Stacks also come with new features. Exposé now displays windows in an organized framework, while Stacks are now scrollable making it simple for you to view all items.

QuickTime X, iChat, and Safari

QuickTime X is the completely new media player application that will change how you experience audio and video. QuickTime X takes advantage of the technologies in Mac OS X like Core Audio, Core Video, and Core Animation to give you the optimal playback experience. iChat is now more reliable as it comes with new technology to address common connection problems. Safari 4 is now faster and more efficient. It now has up to 50 percent faster JavaScript performance.

Other Cool Features

Snow Leopard uses Core Location technology to set your time zone automatically for you when you are traveling with your Mac. Your printer will work seamlessly with Snow Leopard. When you plug in your printer, Snow Leopard will make sure you have the most current driver. Snow Leopard also comes with faster wake up and shut down times for your Mac. Another great advantage to Snow Leopard is the fact that it frees up about 7GB on your hard drive.
